A Great, Rosy Glow: The Story of Bulow Plantation Ruins

  • 03/23/2024
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park

The Bulow Plantation ruins stand as a monument to the rise and fall of sugar plantations in East Florida. Take a step back in time and learn more about the events that culminated in the destruction of one of the largest plantations in East Florida during the Second Seminole War.

Participants will meet at the large pavilion. The program will include a half mile round trip hike to view the ruins. Please bring water, sunscreen, insect repellant, and wear sturdy shoes, as the trail includes uneven terrain.

Program is free with park entry of $4 per vehicle. Purchase a single-use day pass online prior to your arrival or use the honor box onsite to pay entrance fees. Cash and check only; correct change is required.
