Friends of Tomoka Basin State Parks

The Official Citizen Support Organization for the Tomoka Basin State Parks

Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our parks. Our volunteers assist us with the Florida Park Service mission statement to "Provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resource."

Individuals

Opportunities for individuals are diverse - volunteers can work at the ranger station, conduct tours, help with special events, remove exotic plants, maintain trails or work in our native plant garden.

Groups

Community, scouting, civic, corporate, church and student groups are invited to get outdoors and make a difference!

Campground Hosts

Campground hosts answer questions, help with maintenance and are available for late-night emergencies. A campsite is provided in return for no charge. Volunteers must serve a minimum of 24 hours per week, and the maximum length of stay is 16 weeks. These positions are in high demand, so make sure to submit your application early!
